Welcome back to our blog. It feels nice to be back on our monthly schedule. Its strange to think we have already been here almost a month now. We are feeling very settled into our home and our neighborhood, despite being sick with covid the past two weeks. Thankfully everyone waited to get sick until we had found a home and moved in. As of now everyone has recovered and is feeling as good as expected.
We are so grateful to have found a home very close to ICF.
Above is our kitchen.
And here is looking down into our living room. We spent a couple days driving back and forth from Sisapon to Siem Reap bringing all of our belongings from our old house to our new. We are thankful to have that behind us as Im sure everyone is when they move houses.
Our first meal at our new kitchen table.
We found a great little Khmer market close to our house. We have missed eating all the amazing fruits and vegetables.
Making chocolate chip cookies always turns a house into a home.
It took several days to get wifi in our new home so Britton and I spent some time at a local coffee shop setting up the online school program our children will be using.
Also starting our weekly date mornings again.
One morning we drove to a little mountain and enjoyed the views of our new province.
A helmet or two was lost or broken along the way which required some helmet shopping.
Our children have started their first day of school. So far they are really enjoying their online program. Things seem to be going very well.
Our kitty Rosie had surgery about a week ago. She has recovered well and we are happy that she will no longer be having babies. :)
A new place to do laundry. Of course its rainy season so the cloths are taking hours to dry. But thankful for a place to hang them nonetheless.
Lunch time and read aloud chapter books.
ICF has free water for everyone so I guess this is where we will get our water as well.
The past couple Sundays have been spent in childrens church or the Khmer church across the street.
We officially start working for ICF this month. It will take a couple days to learn the process and exactly what we will be doing. We have several meetings this week and we are excited to learn and begin serving. Our children have opportunities to serve as well and we will talk about that in later blogs Im sure. Lots of exciting and new things happening. It is quite a different experience than we have had the last four years. Thankful for the past four years and what they have taught us. Excited to have a community this time around. We want to thank everyone for your continued love, prayers and support. It doesn't go unnoticed. We look forward to sharing more. This past month has been spent settling into our new home and our new city, and now we are ready to set out on whatever journey God has for us here. Please continue to pray for our health and safety both physically and mentally. Sending Gods love to each of you that are apart of this life we lead here in Cambodia. We love you.
