Savanna joined a sweet little birthday party of one of her friends. They are all from different countries. From left to right, Canada, America, Brazil, England, Australia, and Switzerland! What a fun group!
Some little puppies we babysat for our friends.
So sweet but very needy. We had a neighbor come over and tell us the puppies were being to loud. Some of us were glad when they went home.
Savanna and her little school friends went on a field trip.
Carter had an unfortunate wake boarding accident. His knee hit his tooth and it went through his skin! Was debating wether to go and get stitches or not. Because it was around the mouth area we decided to go get him stitched up.
We were very glad we went. He got 3 stitches inside and 3 on the outside. Everything healed up nicely.
Savanna had a little school program. She wrote the cutest poem to read aloud with her friend.
A few school updates. Savanna is finishing up grade four.
Sweet village moments. These children especially the little girl in the yellow shirt comes running every Sunday for big hugs when she sees us!
Another outing with friends.
Tried to take them to see a movie but we got the timing wrong. The plan was to go and take the girls pictures at Angkor Watt but one of the girls didn't have her ticket and so we had to change plans.
Enjoying these unique chairs at the mall
A little ice cream and gifts for the birthday girl
My dear friend Aline. We are always laughing together.
As per request from the Kids Pastor I made 100 Easter eggs and crosses to hang up during Kids Easter celebration. This took hours and hours to accomplish.
All decorated for Easter Sunday
After work, Savanna and I stopped at a local coffee shop to cool off.
Savanna matched her sweet cousins on Easter. We were really busy working all day so it didn't feel much like Easter. And Easter is right around the Khmer New Year so it just always feels different here.
So sweet! We miss you girls!
My little Adventure Kids program made Resurrection rolls together. We had a fun time. I even brought my oven to the campus.
Praise God! Because of this empty tomb we are saved for eternity forever with our risen Savior!
After church on Sunday we had a Khmer New Year celebration. Tradition is baby powder and water fights. We enjoyed dancing around the fruit table in typical Khmer fashion. A beginning to a very special week.
Pastor Senglee and his wife. Lots of baby powder makes for a extra scary face! :)
Our cat Gary, enjoys this little corner for some reason
Making yummy cinnamon rolls
A sweet and lady from the village has had cancer for years on her leg that won't heal. She is having surgery to cut off her leg and she needs several bags of blood before they do the surgery. The outreach team and the ICF nurse went to donate blood. The nurse was able to donate and then a lot of us were on standby in case she needed more blood.
A movie night with some of our friends
Yay! David made it to Siem Reap for the New Year. Britton and I had a meeting so the older ones went out to see the happenings in town.
So thankful for David and the joy he brings to our family.
One morning to visit Angkor Watt together. So much fun and activities happening over the New Year.
The Khmer people set a Geniuses book of world record by making over 3 million of these origami hearts. It was so beautiful and fun to see!
Thankful! Thankful for all God has done and thankful for this experience to serve Him in Cambodia. He has blessed us abundantly.
An American pie seems about right for the Khmer New Year. Plus David had never eaten an apple pie before and we couldn't have that :)
So many water fights and smiles!
Enjoyed working out together one morning
One last meal before he goes back to Phnom Penh. A great weekend with many heart moments tucked away to last forever.
And she ended up needing blood and so we went and donated which was no big deal but the Khmer people was some weird superstition about giving blood. Pastor Singlee had never given blood before so he was quite nervous.
All Hands meeting one morning where all the ICF staff gather for some encouragement.
It finally worked out for the girls to go get their pictures taken at Angkor Watt in traditional Khmer clothes. So special! Beautiful pictures to last a lifetime.
Adventure Kids Saturday program
Britton enjoyed going dirt biking with some of ICFS leaders.
Amazing! So fun for Britton.
A yummy smoothie bowl to help with the online lesson plannings. Funny story> I could only finish probably not even a fourth of this. Thankfully Britton was on his way home from the village and was able to stop by and finish it for me. Our stomachs have shrunk in this high heat.
Doing schoolwork at a local cafe is one of our best school memories here in Cambodia.
Birthday party night with friends.
One sweet villager built a new home with a cross on the front!
The outreach team enjoying a meal together.
Savanna and I enjoyed meeting little Alayna on FaceTime. Our special teacher, Tashayla, who moved with our family when when we first moved to Cambodia just had her little baby girl. We love you baby Alayna, can't wait to hold you in person.
After School debriefing with some Burger King fries
Ending our month with a early morning church service. Always love to hear Carter play the drums during worship.
Thankyou friends and family for all your support through the months. We appreciate you more than you know. May Gods favor be upon you and your families.
