Hi to our friends and family! Sending love from Cambodia.
We started the month off strong with our oldest three feeling brave enough to travel to Phnom Penh by themselves. They had a great time and did very well traveling alone for the first time. We feel very safe and comfortable in Cambodia and we encouraged them to do this as a chance to learn and grow.
Saying goodbye and feeling happy to see them grow and have new experiences.
Here they are meeting with our friend How. They did a number of fun activities.
Meanwhile Khmery and I visited the local aquarium before we brought our Adventure Kids class here.
Walking through and making plans.
Enjoying Phnom Penh for the weekend.
Britton and I were asked to go on a double date with a couple from ICF, some of our coworkers.
Such a fun evening together.
Our Saturday Adventure Kids class in our home.
Savanna and I also went to Phnom Penh for our good friend Davids college graduation.
Savanna and I took the night bus which always arrives in the city around 5:30 am. We went to the older threes hotel since we couldn't check into our hotel yet. We all got ready for church together and then went to Nations for church. It was special to sit with How and also hear David lead worship.
So proud of David. Despite all odds, he graduated from Law school. It was special for us to be there for him on his graduation day. We knew him when he finished high school and started his collage.
David and his sweet Mother
Lots and lots of pictures were taken!
Eating lunch with David before heading back to Siem Reap.
Preparing for Sunday night Adventure Kids class. Drawing Bible characters together has been fun!
Lots of play dough fun in the Sunday morning Mighty Kids class

Pictures of ordinary days...Mondays are our days off. We enjoy making yummy food together on these days.
Britton and I were asked to mentor a couple from ICF.
We had a mission team from Oklahoma visit ICF for two weeks. They spent the most time with the Outreach team, so Britton spent a lot of time with them. Our boys also got to be involved and really enjoyed spending time with American teenagers. The mission team was so nice to our family. We really enjoyed having them around!
Spending time in the villages. Britton was able to translate some for the team.
This man gave his life to Jesus after explaining the gospel to him. It was a tearful and special moment.
A couple pictures of Carter during Sunday morning Adult service at Church.
Taking the Adventure Kids to the Aquarium. We had around 20 children that joined.
A fun day for all!
Our family was quite sick this month. Brysen ended up going to the hospital. Lots of fever, coughing, exhaustion, throwing up, diarrhea and other symptoms. It took a couple weeks for us all to heal.
Sweet girl from the mission team
We had a big Family Fun day at ICF! 2500 people joined this day. Our family helped alot with this. Above is Pastor Eddie and two boys that won a bike.
A few pictures of Savanna at her school. She will finish year four the end of July. She has really enjoyed her time at Tree House School.
Britton and I met with our friends Kelvin and Rainbow. They wanted our advice for potential village work.
My turn to get sick. Over 100 degrees with high humidity outside, yet freezing cold because of high fever. It truly is so miserable to be sick especially in Cambodia.
The famous Z packs that help us get well
We fell in love with Thai tea when we visited Bangkok recently.
A yummy snack for our family.
Britton and I traveled to Vietnam for our 18th anniversary. We had a wonderful time. We had a long layover in Malaysia. We ended up not going out of the airport because of the time, so we found some chairs and had quite the night in the airport trying to get some sleep.
Some Malaysian money. We had to exchange money to get some food to eat. We used five currencies on this trip. American dollar, Khmer reil, Vietnamese dong, Thai baht, and Malaysia.
Still a bit sick and weak but well enough to travel.
We found a really cheap hotel to spend a few days at in Nha Trang Vietnam.
We rented a Moto for the days we were there.
We enjoyed finding so many cool places
Britton enjoyed his yummy fish
We enjoyed a hike one morning.
Of course there was a Mcdonalds in Nha Trang so we enjoyed many meals from there. It tastes so good when you haven't had it for a year.
We found this local spa called a "Mud bath". It wasn't really mud but minerals. We just joined right in with the Vietnamese locals.
We enjoyed time out on the beach and swimming in the ocean.
Indian food is always our favorite.
We found some crocodiles which made us remember our boys alligator birthday party.
Time to leave
The beautiful coastline of Vietnam
We had some flight complications so we ended up staying an extra night in Bangkok. We met Pastor Suoy from AOG church in Siem Reap at the airport. It was special to be on the same plane as him to Siem Reap.
Britton with the couple that we donated blood for. She lost her leg due to cancer.
"Nice to meet you bong srey" A note of cheer from the Starbucks waiter
That is the end of our month. We miss everyone very much! Thankyou all for your continued love and prayers through these past five years. We have two more months living and working in Cambodia before we move home to the States. We will give an update on that soon here on our blog. Right now we continue to work hard so we can finish well. We love our life and home here in Cambodia and thank God for this experience.
